Said nips Papis for Montreal Nationwide win

08/29/2010 - Montreal, Canada (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Boris Said finally became a first-time winner in one of NASCAR's national touring series after he edged Max Papis by inches at the finish line in Sunday's NAPA Auto Parts 200 Nationwide Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Said passed Robby Gordon and took the lead for the first time just after the restart for a green-white-checkered finish, and then held it for his first win in his 22nd Nationwide start.

Canadian Jacques Villeneuve finished third in front of his home crowd, while Brad Keselowski and Paul Menard rounded out the top-five.

Gordon ran out of fuel on the second to last lap and ended up finishing 14th.

Marcos Ambrose and Carl Edwards dominated most the race, but Ambrose, the pole sitter, finished 33rd after suffering engine failure late in the race, while Edwards, who led the most laps with 29, wound up 20th due to a mechanical issue in the closing laps.

Colts give the ‘D’ its due

The Indianapolis Colts know that winning the Super Bowl last season put a huge target on their backs, and they expect opponents to go all-out to knock them from the top of the mountain.

They’ll get their first test from the New Orleans Saints this Thursday night. The defending champs had nothing but good things to say about the New Orleans defense this past week, praising their opponents’ pass rush and run-stopping abilities.

"They play very aggressively," head coach Tony Dungy told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "They play a lot of man-to-man coverage, and they come after you. They have good pass rushers, and they're going to try to pressure us, I'm sure."

Both center Jeff Saturday and quarterback Peyton Manning gave New Orleans’ front four props, admitting keeping guys like Will Smithand Charles Grant contained would be a tall task for the offensive line.

Brees says bring it on
