05/15/2010 - San Francisco, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tim Lincecum allowed only one run in eight strong innings, and Juan Uribe hit a two-run homer, helping the San Francisco Giants continue their recent dominance of the Houston Astros with a 2-1 win.
Lincecum (5-0) yielded four hits and a season-high five walks while fanning a season-low five batters for the Giants, who are 5-0 against the Astros and have won seven straight against them overall. Brian Wilson worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the ninth to earn his eighth save.
Uribe finished 3-for-3 to account for nearly half of San Francisco's seven hits in the contest.
Michael Bourn went 1-for-3 with two walks, three stolen bases and the lone run scored for Houston, which has lost the first two games of this three-game set following a surprising sweep of the Cardinals. Houston went 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position and stranded 10 men on the bases.
Roy Oswalt (2-5) was sharp but fell victim again to poor run support. The righty hurled seven innings and allowed two runs and six hits while fanning seven without walking a batter. Despite the success, the Astros have yet to score more than four runs in any of his starts and have just seven runs overall in his last four outings.
Wilson relieved Lincecum in the ninth and allowed a leadoff walk to Pedro Feliz but retired the next two batters. Cory Sullivan kept the game alive with a ground ball single through the left side of the infield, sending Feliz to second, and Bourn worked a five-pitch walk to load the bases.
Kaz Matsui stepped to the plate and worked an epic 15-pitch at-bat, eventually flying out to left field for the final out of the contest.
Bourn used his speed to help produce an Astros run in the first. He worked a seven-pitch walk leading off and stole second with Matsui at the plate. He advanced to third on a Lance Berkman groundout and raced home on a wild pitch.
Oswalt cruised through the first three innings, allowing just one hit, but ran into some trouble in the fourth, as Bengie Molina singled with two down and scored on Uribe's homer to center.
The Giants looked to extend their lead in the fifth. Aaron Rowand singled with two outs and tried to score on Andres Torres' double, but Hunter Pence and Matsui worked a perfect relay to home to nail Rowand for the third out.
Neither team was able to put a runner past second in the sixth, seventh or eighth.

The AFC South and the NFC East are the favorite divisions to have the next Super Bowl champ among them in the NFL betting odds. But more down to the point, these football odds are in favor of the Indianapolis Colts, by far the strongest team in the AFC South, and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFC East.
Most sports fans would agree that these two teams top the list to win it all before the season even begins. In the BetUS Sportsbook football futures, the Colts are +800 in the odds to win the Super Bowl, while the Cowboys are sitting at +1000 and the Super Bowl XLIV champions New Orleans Saints at +900. In the AFC South, the Colts won the division for five straight years after the 2002 realignment, before the Tennessee Titans won it in 2008. But the Colts came back strong in 2009 to win the division again en route to the Super Bowl. The Cowboys are the favorite to win the NFC East, as well as to advance far into the post season. The Cowboys won the division last season before their horrendous loss in the NFC Divisional playoff to Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings. But the ‘Boys will take that loss humbly and be ready for the playoffs this time around.
The NFC South is also very strong, at +600 in the NFL futures, considering that it is home to the defending Super Bowl champions. However, some predictions have the Atlanta Falcons with possibilities of claiming the divisional title this season in place of the Saints, as no team has won back-to-back division championships since the division realignment took place. Let’s not overlook the AFC North at +500. As TO goes to Cincinnati to join Chad OchoCinco and Adam “Pac-Man” Jones, this team looks to claim the division title again. And it is likely they will do so. The Bengals lost in the AFC Wild Card spot in a hard-fought battle against the New York Jets last season. Lest not forget the Pittsburgh Steelers, the XLII Super Bowl Champions… All these teams present interesting odds and matchups for the upcoming season, but the safest and surest bet seems to be with the Colts in the AFC South and the Cowboys in the NFC East. Play this weekly NFL Football Contestto see if you can win.
